Another Photoshoot

Today I started an amazing photo shoot of Sandra Leko, this enthusiastic and smiley Croatian who lives in London for two years now. Sandra, a.k.a. Sandie, is on her first year of Fashion Communication at St. Martins College of Art and Design, home of the biggest names on fashion now a day. By contrast, she never had an art class before she moved to England; at school all she studied was Chemistry, Math and other scientific subjects that can hardly be related to fashion. But Sandra always had an affair with artistic subjects. On her youngest ages, she loved to paint. When she was about 12 years old, this 21 gorgeous girl decided to study architecture, which on her opinion at the time was a "more realistic" career. At the age of 15, she came to London for the first time, and fell in Love with the city. She also confessed "Nothing was available for me in Croatia, so every Vogue that I would get was so precious for me"; perhaps in London she found the source of all this preciosity.

While cleaning her new nose pierce, Sandra told me about how much she changed since she moved here. In Croatia the perspectives of life were others; She used to believe that the right lifestyle was one composed by expensive objects only. London showed her so many interesting possibilities of unique styles that she never needed to relay on expensive designs to feel Fashion again; Her ideal lifestyle today changed from luxurious dream to a more realistic place, where she could “be happy and share it with someone she loves”.

Despite her realistic take on her future, Sandra keeps reaching for lifestyles such as Freddie Mercury and her favorite Edie Sedgwick. Absolutely because of the energetic look these amazing characters have, Sandra can’t stop changing her hair color and shape, that went from Long and blond to Bobby and purple – of the records, next color seems to be ‘Florence and The Machine’ Orange.

Always surrounded by friends, every time Sandra enters a room she manages to fill up the space with her generous smile and adorable being; Sandie knows how to conquer a person really well, perhaps because she is a single child, who always attached herself to long and intense friendships with people who she could count on from disappointing moments to the most extraordinary happiness.

Sandra will be that person who you will want to work with not only for her intense good job, but also for the drinks afterwards. This is Sandie Sandra Leko.
